David Cunliffe
David has a servant heart and loves people. He has seen the transformation Jesus makes to a person and is desperate to help people understand just how much God loves them.
David has been a leader in different environments over 25 years but seeks for God to lead and for Jesus to be front and centre of Gathering Community Church.
His personal journey as a Christian has been nearly 45 years, he has wandered and at times failed.
David and Linda have been married for nearly 40 years and they have three daughters and in 2021 their first grandson Samuel arrived.
Stuart Merton
Stuart Merton
Stuart has been involved in church leadership for over 25 years, pastoring 3 churches in this time. In addition, he has over 20 years experience in senior commercial and general management. Over the years he has had the privilege to preach in Kenya, Burundi, Tanzania and USA. Stuart loves the local church and is equally happy leading worship or delivering that weeks’ sermon. His heart is that people would know just how much God loves them and that ‘God is for people, and nothing can ever be against us’ (Romans c8 v31).

Stuart also volunteers as a community chaplain, supporting prisoners who are close to being released, both while they await their release and once they are released. He is also a trustee for Integrate Youth For Christ (the local area office for the national Youth For Christ organisation).
